Abstract: Although it has not been officially announced yet, it appears that Bobby Petrino will be headed to Arkansas. The deal is estimated to be for about $3 million a year, which means he'll be taking a pay cut to return to the college ranks.

If Petrino does come to Arkansas the SEC West will be very interesting next year. Petrino was invovled in an attempted coup to replace Tommy Tuberville a few years ago. That year Tuberville ended up going undefeated and getting a raise and a contract extension. Wonder how the two will do against each other. Arkansas's former coach, Houston Nutt, is at Ole Miss, getting Petrino should improve recruiting as well as the Arkansas passing game. Auburn and Arkansas always play each other tough, but next fall should have maybe just a little more intrigue. Ole Miss of late has been the doormat of the SEC, but Ole Miss should be improved with Nutt at the helm. Nutt has plenty of talent returning next year and should be able to mold the Rebels into a cohesive unit.
